TERMS & CONDITIONS

By accessing the Northstar Auto website (autonorthstar.com), requesting estimates, authorizing collision/mechanical repair services, or purchasing recycled auto parts from Automobile Northstar Inc. ('Northstar Auto', 'we', 'our', or 'us'), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services or website.

Written estimates provided prior to vehicle disassembly are initial appraisals based on visible damage. In collision repair, hidden structural, mechanical, or electrical damage may only become evident once damaged panels and components are removed (teardown). If supplementary repairs or additional parts are required, Northstar Auto will document the findings and obtain authorization from you or your insurance adjuster before proceeding with additional work.

Under Quebec law, vehicle owners maintain the absolute right to select the repair facility of their choice. Northstar Auto works directly with all major insurance carriers (including Intact, Desjardins, Beneva, Aviva, TD, Belairdirect) to facilitate direct billing. However, payment of any applicable insurance deductible or policy-excluded items remains the sole legal responsibility of the vehicle owner upon completion and release of the vehicle.

We stand firmly behind the excellence of our workmanship:

• Bodywork & Frame Restoration: Lifetime warranty against structural misalignment, welding failure, or workmanship defects for as long as you own the vehicle.
• Baked Paint Refinishing: Lifetime warranty against premature peeling, cracking, or clearcoat hazing resulting from application defects (excluding stone chips, subsequent collisions, or chemical neglect).
• Mechanical & Replacement Parts: Covered by the respective original equipment manufacturer (OEM) or supplier warranty terms.

All recycled OEM and Subaru components (including boxer engines, transmissions, body panels, and suspension assemblies) are thoroughly inspected and tested prior to sale. Recycled mechanical assemblies include a standard 30-day functional warranty from date of delivery. Electrical components, computer modules, and body panels cut to customer specifications are final sale unless proven non-functional upon initial delivery inspection.

Customers will be notified immediately upon completion of authorized repairs. Vehicles must be picked up within five (5) business days of completion notice. Vehicles left on shop premises beyond this period without prior written agreement may be subject to a daily secure storage fee of $50/day. Under the Civil Code of Quebec, Northstar Auto retains legal repairer's lien rights on vehicles until all authorized repair invoices and applicable deductibles are paid in full.

Northstar Auto shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from vehicle use or downtime during repairs. These Terms and Conditions are governed exclusively by the laws of the Province of Quebec and the applicable federal laws of Canada. Any legal proceedings shall be instituted exclusively in the judicial district of Laval, Quebec.
